10 HOME TRUTHS ABOUT HAVING SHORT HAIR

Having short hair myself, I personally love it and I couldn't imagine having long hair, but before I did 'the chop' I had long hair to nearly my bum! If you're thinking about cutting your hair, or have short hair already, heres 10 home truths...

1. After having the chop you will also go through a 'grieving' stage, where you will completely miss your long hair after you make the big cut and no matter how long or short your hair was before, it's always a shock.

2. The shock of the first shower. You go to rub in your conditioner, and suddenly realize you.have.no.hair. 

3. People will make you feel bad about cutting your hair, by saying things like "But you had such nice hair!”

4. Short hair is a pain in the ass to maintain, with long hair you can just let it grow and grow and it's still managable and looks pretty, with short hair you HAVE to go to the hairdresser every month or ending up running the risk of looking like one of the Gallaghers.

5. You will, I repeat WILL look like a crazy person with hair all over the place in the morning and people will say to you "I bet it's so easy for you to do your hair in the morning!"

6.  When your hair looks like shit, theres no shoving it in a messy bun, theres no running away from the fact your having a bad hair day, it can take you 10 minutes to fix or over an hour, but you have to perform some sort of magic to get it looking presentable because there's no way to hide it.

7. You will hate the winter when you realize how cold your ears get...

8. If you do decide to grow your hair out, you have to go through some EXTREMELY awkward hairstyles trying to get long hair back.

9. Bonus, your hair will actually near enough always look like it's meant to be styled and short hair is so easy to get the 'salon' look at home!

10. Nobody tells you when you get the chop, you may need a 3rd arm. It can get pretty difficult trying to hold a hairdryer a hairbrush and a round brush in 2 hands.
